The Takri inscription, kindly deciphered by Vijay Sharma, on the verso refers to Mian Manak Chand, the brother of Mian Jappu (c1660-c1735), the able Wazir to Sidh Sen (1684-1727) and subsequently the Regent and Wazir to his great nephew, Shamsher Sen (1722-1781).
